Another trip to Norway, and another spectacular adventure: the Ut Av Vår Hule Music and Art Festival in Fauske takes place every second year in the extraordinary surroundings of the old marble mines just outside town. I've been having an affair with Norway ever since I first visited in 2004. With my annual trip to by:Larm (www.bylarm.no) in Oslo on the horizon it felt like time for a retrospective. The pictures below are taken from a number of journeys to Oslo, Bergen, Bodø, the Lofoten Islands, Slottsfjell, Tromsø, Voss and - naturally - The Betty Fjord Clinic itself.

Still, it wasn't really necessary for her to break the news to us (and not just because George Benson had already delivered the lines ten years earlier). Nevertheless these words of wisdom linger, most probably because she hammered them home with the subtlety of a shot of Jägermeister. So, since iPhones remain expensive, let us explore Whitney's vision of the future...

I first visited Norway's Træna Festival - on islands out at sea off the coast of Bodø right on the edge of the Arctic Circle - in July 2008. I hope to be there every year now, at least until global warming sinks the archipelago.
